Gold Coast Council approves the “Pacific View Estate” a 350 Hectare Suburb

Gold Coast Council has approved the Pacific View Estate which is a residential master development located between Worongary and Highland Park on the Gold Coast.

The total size is approximately 350 hectares and is proposed by the Developer Perron Group.

The Pacific View Estate will contain around 3,500 houses and apartments which are capped at 8-storeys and is expected to hold about 8,000 to 10,000 residents.

The development will have a large village centre with a combination of residential, commercial, and retail outlets, plus open green space located adjacent to Hinkler Drive.

The group also control development sites in Western Australia and is a part-owner of the Runaway Bay Centre shopping centre also on the Gold Coast.

Gold Coast says the estate’s development code provides a flexible planning framework for the staged development of the land over a 10 to 20-year time frame.

Even though this is labelled as progress, it is once again a terrible shame seeing wildlife habitat being erased forever which is very sad indeed.
