Gold Coast Region undergoes massive $13 Billion infrastructure injection

There are huge building and infrastructure projects already underway on the Gold Coast.

One of the big winners is the Gold Coast Airport who has announced plans for a $200 million redevelopment that will overhaul the airport ahead of GC-2018-Commonwealth-Games and meet forecast demand to 2023.

Stage one of construction is due to commence in early 2016 and include an initial three new wide bodied aircraft stands and a three-level terminal development, with provision for up to two aerobridges associated with the new infrastructure.

The award winning Gold Coast Airport is one of the fastest growing airports in the country. Chief Operating Officer, David Collins said that the airport services more than 350 flights per week amounting to 5.8 million passengers per annum, with leisure based travellers accounting for an estimated 75% of all traffic.

There is also Billions of dollars flowing into the region due to renewed enthusiasm due to the relatively cheap housing prices.

Developers and builders are enjoying more work than they can handle, there is 23 cranes about the rise over the skyline for major high-rise developments and there are also huge and significant Housing developments already under way from the Gold Coast to Brisbane, which will one day link the two Cities.

Don’t miss the boat, because if you do you will deeply regret it in years to come
